    We have published two versions of this map, showing how the area changed across the map. The 1879 is in full colour, taken from the lovely 1st Edition OS handcoloured map. About half of the map was then in Buckinghamshire.

    The maps cover the towns of Linslade and Leighton Buxxard in great detail. Features include St Andrew's Church, Town Hall, Victoria Iron Works, All Saints Church, Market Square, Town Hall, Chain Bridge, Kings Farm, St Barnabas's Church, Battlesden Carriage Works, Leighton Station and railway line, Linslade Tunnel, Grand Junction Canal. At the far north of the map coverage westward to eastward includes Milebush Hill and Northcourt and to the south, Southcott and Kings Farm. Main Streets include High Street, North Street, Lake Street, Plantation Road, Soulbury Road and Mentmore Road.
