This is our sixth title in a short series of maps of
the Ruhrgebiet. It is taken from the British War Office 1:12,500 plans and reduced to approx 1:19,000. Published in 1945,
prior to the Allied occupation of the area, the maps are especially good at showing industry, collieries and transport.
The maps are neatly folded and each includes a specially written introduction to the area. Click on the thumbnail right
for a sample map extract. Maps can be purchased on our On-line Mapshop.
Or visit The Index Page for a full list to the series and details of Prices.
Here are the details of our maps of Gladbeck & Buer:

but features include Hugo Mine, Scholven Mine, Bergmannsgluck Mine, Westerholt Mine. Railways are clearly shown.
The map links up with sheets 5 Schalke, Horst & Bottrop to the south, 8 Recklinghausen to the east.
