    We have published two versions of this map, showing how the area changed across the years. The maps cover the Attercliffe area, on the NE side of Sheffield, including parts of Brightside, Carbrook and Greenland. Coverage stretches from Stevenson Road eastward to Tinsley Park Cemetery, and from Attercliffe GCR station northward to Upwell Street and Brightside Weir.

    Features include Sheffield & Tinsley Canal, Sheffield & South Yorkshire Navigation, railways with Broughton Lane, station, Attercliffe station, Woodburn Junction to Aldham Junction section, Attercliffe Common Works, Carbrook Park, St Bartholomew's church, Tinsley Park cemetery, Attercliffe cemetery, Brown Bayley's Steel Works, Attercliffe Steel Works, Novo Steel Works, River Don Works, Grimesthorpe Works, Hecla Works, Brightside Sidings, River Don, St Thomas church, Christ Church, tramways, plus many streets of terraces close to the industrial premises.

    We include directory extracts on the reverse of each map, together with specially written introductions to the history of the area.

    The map links up with Sheets 289.13 Wincobank to the north, 294.04 Sheffield North to the west and 295.05 Sheffield Darnall to the south.
